Petition to restore passenger rail to Palmer, Massachusetts!

https://www.change.org/p/massachusetts-dept-of-transportation-restore-passenger-rail-to-palmer-massachusetts

Please sign our petition to implement passenger rail service to Palmer, as proposed by the East-West Passenger Rail Study (January 2021), and in the Northern New England Intercity Rail Initiative (June 2016).

Since 2015 we have campaigned and advocated for fast, frequent train service to Palmer as the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) has progressed steadily towards expanded train service on the Inland Route between Boston and Springfield (and continuing south to New Haven), and on the Boston–Albany corridor which includes Pittsfield.

Amtrak service on both of these corridors would stop at Palmer.

The Train Campaign

Working to bring back the trains to Berkshire County, Massachusetts, and Litchfield County, Connecticut, but with a wider vision: “…the future of rural America, as well as smaller cities and towns, depends on the connectivity offered by freight and passenger rail because rail supports jobs and connects people.”
